Balqees and her family go through the torments of extreme poverty as the income they earn proves insufficient. Since the past few years, in order to support her husband, Balqees started stitching clothes at home with the limited amount of savings she had. Unluckily, she contributed only a little as she only had a limited fabric to stitch and sell. Her husband, Maqbool works as a driver to support the household but earnings in Bahawalnagar are extremely low. His only son, Fareed, is married and lives with Balqees and her husband. Although, he works as a driver but since he has his own family to feed, he contributes a small amount to the household. Balqees' house is in a slum area of Bahawalnagar where her kitchen and bathroom are uncovered. Balqees's problems are directly related to poverty and they continue to increase. Balqees reached Seed Out for help. She wants a micro-loan of $144 to expand her garment business. With this loan, she intends to purchase unstitched fabric in bulk along with needles, threads and buttons to make more number of stitched clothes to sell.
